I loved this! I’m so drawn to understanding the writer behind the writing - I feel like it adds another depth to the story. Have you read his memoir?

I heard about the rejection nail story - it just shows what can happen when you don’t quit. He also threw his Carrie manuscript in the bin and his wife got it out and made him finish it.

Thank you so much for reading my review! ☺️ Yes, I have read his memoir On Writing; it is an amazing book, very inspiring and informative. His wife believes in him and she was the reason for his success. I admire him so much for acknowledging that in his book.

Great review, Wajad. I am not a fan of horror books, but I wouldn't mind watching a good horror film.

Nice work. I haven’t actually read it and didn’t realise it used this interesting epistolary style.

Yes! I was also surprised by his choice of narrative. But it was really working. 😊

What a fascinating review, Wajad. It feels like it was written less for the reader or viewer and more for the author. I'd never come across that kind of format before discovering your work. I really like it!

And one more thought: I think Stephen King often used disgust as a stepping stone to evoke fear in the reader.

Thank you so much Yaroslav for reading my review. I am so glad you found it original! It is true that I am trying to focus on the writer. And I agree about King's work that he uses disgust to evoke fear. Very good observation here. 😊
